OLYMPIA CONTESTS 2022

Fresno native could achieve the title of Mr. Olympia

A bodybuilder from the Valley is hoping to be the first Valley local to be named Mr. Olympia when he faces the top athletes of the best this week in Orlando, Florida.Erin Banks, the Clovis East student, has stunned the world of racing by qualifying for the physique race in her debut year at the track. This 33 year old Fresno native who has been eating well and doing numerous weight exercises is now one of the top contenders to win next week's Mr. Olympia  Live Stream 2022 competition in Florida Imagine a Super Bowl for bodybuilding.

"To get your bid or qualification, you have to win a show. What I did was win the third most prestigious show in the world, which is the New York Pro," Banks declared.

Bank's rapid rise in the world of bodybuilding has been nothing short incredible. Although he's always been a fan of exercising, Banks admits he fell off at the peak of the disease as gyms were closed.
Banks did not grab the dumbbell, and instead ate some more fast food than usual in his quest to grow up to 255 pounds before deciding to enter into full-on beast mode after gyms were back online. At 227 pounds, despite just his first year as a professional Banks is confident about going into the biggest bodybuilding contest on the planet."It's my rookie year, so I got to put my time in. People don't really know who I am. They don't know my face yet but they will. October 9, they will," Banks declared.Banks wasn't this position by accident. In order to be the Mr. Olympia, he'll face an array of best athletes in the sport's male body. =

His victory in The Las Vegas show earned him his professional card as well as the name "The Problem". A nickname his rivals were able to give him after he blew off the contest by ripping off his v-shape upper body.

"I've worked on the feedback the judges have given me all year," Banks declared. "They wanted to give me a bigger chest and I believe I've done a lot of homework and extra credit to build that. My back is probably my biggest strength but now that I've paired everything together, it is just a complete package."

And who's going challenge the Clovis East High School graduate who's striving to be the first person in the Central Valley to earn the title of Mr. Olympia?

He doesn't take it lightly when he trains together with the bodybuilding legend co-host and Fresno resident, Flex Wheeler, leading towards the competition. A little confident Banks claims he's never been more determined in his entire life.

"I have the city on my back," the actor stated. "I represent the city of Fresno, California, and I don't want to be that letdown. It's a little bit of pressure but it's actually good pressure for me because when I do bring it home, it's going to be a relief."

He was more than a simple muscleman. The late Mr. Dickerson trained in opera, ballet , and performing at the American Academy of Dramatic Arts in Manhattan. His training in theatre provided him with an advantage when modeling on the stage for bodybuilding. He was also the model for numerous products that were associated with gyms as well as weight lifting. He was prominently featured on the cover and as the centerfold in a variety of magazines.
